We are Sandalwood Sitar Music Ensemble performing light instrumental versions of Indian Classical Ragas on Sitar, Tanpura, Percussions and Tablas since 1998.
Our repertoire consists of light classical versions of Indian ragas, film songs, original compositions and sitar adaptations of pop "Beatles" tunes. Sandalwood Sitar has performed in and around Chicago for Indian wedding receptions, engagement parties, funerals, restaurants, private functions, opening ceremonies, festivals, lecture demonstrations and other events.
Between 2003-2008, Sandalwood performed weekly at Khyber Pass Restaurant.
